I've gone to the ReplayTV forum and learned how to extract the mpeg files ditectly from the RTV harddisk. An one hour show can be had in just 2 minutes. Life is great. But wait, life can not be that simply, if it were, it would be unfair.

When I view the extracted file, the edges have a bunch of junk in it. Normally if I capture it with I/O Magic, I assume its built-in overscan takes care of the rough edges. But the direct extraction does not overscan.

So, is there any program that can edit this out? All the editing software that I have seen edit frames (cuts and join frams) but not the content of the frames (crop size).
