I guess it was a storefront and fake person and not real.
this is the first time that has happened to me on Amazon.

Yes, I have had.

Scammers establish storefronts that last days to a week max,
depending on the activity levels.

Amazon was very good, within hours of launching a
complaint I had my refund, as they figured out it was a
scam, $300 receiver.

Really read ratings on sellers on Amazon, they mean a lot
more than ebay's communist slogan ratings, where any
neutral or negative will get you a barrage of robot messages
to try to make you give 5 stars to all.

suppose I should say I've worked at Best buy sense October last year lol. We had a 51 inch Samsung 8500 plasma for $800! A steal! But my girlfriend would have murdered me if I got a TV that soon after she bought me the Sony 600b... That's a great TV no doubt. Reference level black levels!

The Best Buys around me have lots of open box 64F8500s - most demos with ~7900 hours of use on them and in the $1800 range depending on which accessories are missing.

maybe he was talking in the past tense( sorry about that ) last time I was in BB(month ago ) they had one on display U can get the real part number at put into Google that sometimes brings up obscure results also maybe the BB open box and clearance if they had one on display in ur area if you havent chcked those .

They're a lot more reliable according to everything I've read over the past month. I was ready to buy an f5000 from amazon warehousedeals with a squaretrade warranty (in case it crapped out on me), but now (hopefully) I won't have to.

nothing wrong with a Panny although the Samsung PDP tend to be *much brighter * ( why I bought one ) , reliability should be about the same plenty of failing X/Y boards in Pannys also ofc an S 60 for WAY less money can't be bad either ..... it'a all good

Long as there is no burn in that's not bad for that caliber of a set (*at or near reference) the panels have a MTBF of something like 50,000 hrs
used ones are getting 3 (+ a little) large on Amazon ...........
☺☻☺☻☺☻☺☻☺☺and they destroy almost any LCD you can think of

Well, I was planning on buying a squaretrade warranty, but they won't sell it to me unless I buy the tv through ebay or amazon. I've written and asked if they would be willing to do that, but honestly, I have no idea if this person has an account on ebay or amazon. I might end up with the 5000 after all, and at a much higher cost. I'm not happy about that. Oh well. I 'll see what happens. meh. (and I've found both a 50" and a 60" so I kind of have a choice which one to get if they aren't both sold before I can look at them.)

What about the dreaded pentile display so many people hate? I'm not sure I can tell the difference personally.
