Factory Serviced X1, Good Idea?

How good was the price?


IMHO it is a risk management decision. How much do you save vs. how much potential trouble are you willing to put up with.


IS it eligible for the extended warranty? That would be nice.

Savings of about $180. Good thought on the extended warranty.

I guess I should also check on the return policy before taking this route.

Considering how many X1s get returned over issues like rainbows, factory serviced doesn't necessarily mean it even had to be fixed. If the warranty is the same then I would go for it, otherwise don't bother. Most refurbished electronics have really short warranty periods like 90 days. That wouldn't be worth saving 20%.
