Not surprising...the Europeans hate us and what a great way to rub salt in the wound of all of our war misfortunes...add Hollywood's anti-war agenda and it actually makes perfect sense that he won.
A talentless, opportunistic filmmaker who films hot button issues to garner buzz. Most reviewers said it was even inferior to his previous drivel..

guys, don't make amalgams. problem is , current administration succeeded in making the Europeans (who cares about the others 
) "generally" hate Americans. but in the end, Europeans only want another administration, that's all.
And everybody wants cheap oil (well, not the oil companies), which WAS the purpose. Something must have gone wrong but what ???

It's just not possible, is it? You folks just don't have it in you to discuss these things without little pot shots and sarcasms and needling each other. What is it with that. Is the only way you can argue a point is to belittle each other's ideas. And always turn it into a pissing contest. Do you not have any respect for other people. And for ideas different from your own.
I have respect for "reasonable" people who have beliefs different from my own. I have no respect for those who employ inaccurate blanket statements such as "Europeans hate us" to make a point as well as make such negative comments on a film they have not even seen.

However, I am ALSO not suprised! The Frenchies really HATE
us at the moment. This is a FACT!! The only reason this film won is because of its extremist ANTI-AMERICAN point of view by that loser opportunist Michael Moore.
Clearly time will prove the hollowness of this year's award!!!
In any case, I (along with most Americans) don't give a S**T what the French think and by giving out this award they just are simply showing how DEEP their jealousy and resentment towards us is.

When did questioning the government become anti-American?? Did I just get off the bus at The Twilight Zone or something??
I'd say that not questioning and just blindly following the government and our leaders is a far, far worse offense.

Well now that's a stumper. At first I was thinking maybe one of those South Sea Island places like we used to see in Tarzan movies. But I don't know if they even had any government.
