My HT is in our family room with paneled walls. The room opposite the TV is my workshop. The shared wall is covered with peg board and a ton of tools.
Needless to say, they are very noisy during moderate bass passages and make a hell of a racket when the fall during heavy bass passages.
I am going to build another wall in my workshop to decouple the tools from the subwoofer. Is there any reason/need to place any kind of insulation between these two walls? The wall will be about an inch from the existing wall.
