Exactly, most HTPC uses the PS fan as the only case fan so using this fanless PS will still need a case fan for temp. stability. Thus, it may be better (less noise, more stability) to get a quiet PS with a quiet fan as it negate the need for another case fan. I modded my cheap, noisy power supply by swapping the 80 mm fan with a quiet Panaflo 24 CFM, 21 db, 12v DC rating. Cutting off the metal fan grill helps decrease noise from air turbulence too. Plus, the 300 watts of the fanless PS won't be enough for the higher speed or Athlon systems.
