Fast Times, AoD, and Waist Deep at BB

Also, they have The New Orleans concert for 29.99. Didn't know about that one.

I wonder why AOD is cheaper in-store than it is on their web site?

man i would so buy waist deep if it was like 29 or less but dam 37... espeacially for a movie ive never seen.

I noticed that this is the case with my local Best Buy. Some of their HD-DVD movies on their internet page are priced higher than in store prices.

My BB charged $29.99 for AOD. I picked it up on Tuesday. I almost fell over when I saw the $37.99 price for Waist Deep. They had all 3 of the Universal Oct 10th titles. No Batman Begins though. I asked one of the clerks and they said they couldn't put it out til the 10th.

As she's looking at the new Universal titles without a clue that they weren't supposed to be out either. I didn't mention it cause they are notorious for putting the Uni titles out way early & I wanna keep it that way.

I also picked up AOD and skipped Waist Deep. I wanted to buy it but not at 37.99. I don't think I would even buy Batman Begins for 37.99 and that is one of my favorite movies.

i had bought Sirenity at BB a few weeks back. it was $35. but having best buy rz bucks it cost me nothing. however, i saw at walmart today they had it for $20. the only explanationi can come up with is best buy cant come up with enough reasons for customers not to shop there.


(although if target or walmart dont get pitch black in stock, i may have to buy it at Best Buy. )

$35 for Serenity? I got it for $24.99 at BB way back in July when I got my player. It was the first title I bought. Pitch Black rang up for $21.99 at my BB a few weeks ago. Tell them to do a price check for you. Alot of the older Uni titles are not priced correctly on the sticker. They dropped the prices awhile back.

yeah, i was shocked at the pricing. if pitch black is $22 then ill have to drop by this weekend and get 10% off it, maybe pick up 2 other titles if they are at the right price... god i hate giving these guys business.

37.99 for combos still! Those BBB!!!

You mean Waist Deep comes out this week on HD-DVD? I didn't know that from looking at their weekly circular.


In the new release section, there was a note under "Click" that it is also available on BD, yet Waist Deep had no such note that it is available on HD-DVD.

If u buy waist deep. U will be real dissapointed. I was pissed I payed 7.50 to see it at the movies. No way imma pay 37 just to see it in hd dvd. This is gonna be one of the movies I can't bring myself to buy,just to support hd dvd.

I would actually blind buy Waist Deep if it was available at a reasonable price, which it isn't.

I may double dip on AOD once the reviews roll out on the Picture quality. I have Fast time on SD and I think that's enough for me. I'll Rent Waist Deep.
