Which file system do you use (FAT32 or NTFS) for dedicated HTPC when using Windows XP?

Which is better?

Personally i prefer NTSF due to its capability to store files larger than 4GB, when ripping DVDs on a FAT32 system you need to split them up....

i agree, although you do loose some "speed" when processing files in the ntfs format, the amount is so minut and what you gain is so great it's most definitly worth it.

Yup. I run TheaterTek on my winxp box (NTFS) with no problems.

Most applications don't care or even know what the underlying filesystem is. Reading and writing is taken care of by the OS.

Bubun;

This very same topic was discussed in depth some 2 months or so ago. You might want to do a search to dig it out.
