Faulty flickering lamp from Jason Turk?

1065 Views 8 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  krasmuzik
Got a HX1 replacement lamp from Jason, now after a few hundred hours it's flickering intermittently. Usually does it after being on for a couple hours. Sometimes it stops after a time, often we just turn off the projector as it's so annoying. The fan is clean and pushing air thru well.

No response to emails-is this normal to expect?

The original lamp lasted 2000 hours.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks!

You probably got a defective bulb. You might want to check with the manufacturer. Jason doesnt make the bulbs, he just sells them.

Hey Catdaddy did anyone ask you to bud in? you just better hope my bulb dont start flickerin! buddyboy...LOL but seriously, getting hold of Jason even by email can sometimes seem like an exercise in futility they have gotten very busy of late and they do their best to get back to us, what has been working for me is calling avs and when someone picks up just tell them that you need to speak with Jason about your problem and they will get the message to him and he will give you a call back, thats worked for me a few times this week. good luck!
Sorry folks. I have been extremely behind due to the busyness. I don't think I got an email from you (granted I don't know your real name). I have not gotten anything about a lamp from a JVC. If you want to call me Monday at the 315 number below, we can discuss.

In defense of Jason Turk, I feel it is important that I tell the visitors on this site that Jason is a reputable and respected individual. I have bought a couple of things from A/V Science, through Jason, and have been impressed with the customer service he has given me. He will be the first person I call from now on for future A/V purchases. Not only is his pricing the best, but, he has responded quickly to any questions I have had. I agree he has not always been able to take all of my calls, but, he does call back and does answer his emails.

No, I am not a relative or a close friend of Jason's. However, I am a very satisfied customer of his.

Bob Williams had a good explanation of this over in one of the SP4805 threads.
