Here's one:


How about adding an option in the program guide, when selecting a program to watch to "Play Exclusively".


It would allow us to watch a program uninterrupted, overriding any scheduled recordings or themes for the duration of that show.


Any thoughts?

Are you talking about watching a "live" show? If you don't want to be interrupted, just set it to record and watch it that way. You won't see any messages.


I never get interrupted, but then again, I never watch live shows on my Replay!

I think a better implimentation would be a better priorities setup. Set a recording to "1" (or "10") and it WILL record. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

There is a function for watching already recorded shows without interruption. It is the "Preserve to VCR" function. I believe that with 3.0 it won't even dial out while it is playing. As for live TV, I just deleted all recordings that aren't show based.

Right you are, but I was looking for something to basically turn off scheduled programming while I am watching something live (which I rarely do) Say we're watching a special event, I could simply record it Guaranteed but many times I may have something else guaranteed. I know it's there but don't wish to change it. If I had something like "Priority Watch(tm)" maybe when I choose to watch that item using this feature, it'll warn me "Hey.. you've selected to "Priority watch" this show, so Replay will not be recording "Ally McBeal" (boo hoo)...
