Unfortunately those of us with D* do not get Starz-HD. And Bride and Prejudice, Sin City, Pulp Fiction, Quick and the Dead, The Aviator and Tombstone would be great additions to my DVHS library. C'mon D*, get with program!

I guess the 12/31 showing of DARK CITY will be the sole presentation in HD of that film. But DEEP RISING is a hoot and wouldn't mind catching that in HD. I might say the same for CURSED but it's probably the censored R-Rated version.

It is not on again until 12/23 at 9pm and their schedule still says HD, we can only hope.

No, Dark City was taken away from the director by the studio and stupid moronic changes were made. The director's cut comes out on DVD next year and Roger Ebert has recorded commentary for the sections that are changed back to what the director wanted.

His "again" is probably referring to the fact that The Incredibles has already been showing on Starz, just not in HD.

That's interesting news! I was planning on letting go of my DTS LD edition after recording the HD showing. Now there's even more of an incentive. Even in its current form, this movie became one of my favorites (and Ebert's #1 Best Pic of the Year), so any enhancement is very welcome. Like DAREDEVIL, it will be interesting to see what the original vision was like.
