few setup questions re denon 3803, replay h2000 and smasung hdsatreceiv ts160

Just got my sammy hln507w...WOW. few setup problems with the theater system.


1) my replay hs2000 controlled my old sony b2 sat rec with a serial cord The samsung doesn't have a serial port and all the irblster codes don't work. samsung isn't listed as a maker of sat either. How do i control it?


2) the sammy has 3 component inputs the first being for 480p/i the others for 480p/720p/1080i. The sammy goes via dvi to the highest res on thetv. Fine and there's a switch on the receiver so you have to choose dvi or component (not both?). Anyway i also sent s-vid to the replay, which goes out to the denon avr. The denon is suppose to upgrade the vid signal and i send it out to the tv. But the i can't find what the denon upgrades it to? I would imagine 480i or p and so the first component with lower res would be appropriate. But if its 480p, than I can go to the second and take advance of the sammy to up it to 720p?
