I'm trying to do some editing work on the same computer that I'm using for my HTPC. When I go to capture some footage premiere crashes and it shows ffdshow.ax as being part of the problem in the error report. I'm also seeing that reclock starts up when I start the program.

Is there anyway to use Premiere without uninstalling these programs? I'd like to continue using the HTPC for watching dvd's.

Next version of reclock (1.4 which will be out in a few days) will have a setting to disable it with some apps (like premiere for example) ...

No idea for ffdshow ...

Interesting, I'll be checking for that new version.

Anyone else using Premiere and ffdshow on the same pc? If so, is there a way to fix my problem?

I have Premier 6.5 and FFDShow running on my notebook PC without any problems.

What hardware / software are you useing to capture and how is the video compressed (harware / software).? For example is it an analoge capture or DV over firewire?

I never use Premier to capture anything. There are much better tools available.

Regards,

Owen
