I'm setting up a new HTPC, to connect to a 32" LCD panel, with native resolution 1366 x 768. From what I read, I don't need to worry soooo much about the quality of scaling on that size screen, but I still want to get the best out of my system!

Will I see much benefit from running FFDSHOW on my setup? I can definitely tell the difference between HD and non-HD programming, so surely I need to do SOME processing to upscale a 480p DVD? My graphics card is a 6600GT, so I was also thinking that maybe Purevideo will do a good job instead of FFDSHOW, or am I just getting confused?

All help is MUCH appreciated :)

I use Zoom Player + DScaler + ffdshow for film/non HDTV and TheaterTek (Purevideo) for video and HDTV source on the 6600GT. To me they give me the best results for each type of source. My output resolution is 1712x960(1920x1080 with 11% underscan).
