NEW YORK, October 11, 2004 – INHD, cable’s most widely distributed all high-definition network, announced today the premiere of its new series produced in the 1080i high definition format, Fields of Glory. Narrated by iconic broadcast veteran Brent Musburger, Fields of Glory is a 10-part series that will showcase college football’s most awe-inspiring stadiums and take viewers on a vivid tour of the game’s grand history and time-honored traditions.
“This series gives sports fans a unique insider’s look at some of the best-known landmarks and traditions in college football,†said David Asch, Senior Vice President of Programming, iN DEMAND Networks. “In addition, seeing each program in high definition will add a new perspective, giving viewers the sense of being on campus and in the seats of these amazing venues.â€
Fields of Glory will feature some of the most prominent stadiums and noteworthy moments in college football history, from the revered Grotto of Notre Dame to the excitement of Michigan’s Big House; from the spectacular backdrop of the Smoky Mountains at Tennessee to what’s known as “The Swamp†-- Florida Field at the University of Florida. Each 30-minute episode will capture the spirit, excitement, pageantry and passion of college football.
The series will debut on October 20th at 8pm EST and feature Louisiana State University’s Tiger Stadium. There will be a new episode premiering every Wednesday night on INHD at 8pm (EST) for 10 consecutive weeks.
