A while back I started building a home theater set up and I'm pretty happy with everything but it's time for some more bass. The sub I have is an 8" 100 watt yamaha that's rated down to 28 htz. If I add a Polk PSW 110 to it, that only goes to 32 htz, will my bass extention be lower than the 28 htz of the yamaha using them both at the same time? Or will it just be loud and boomy?

Any advice would be great.

Adding the Polk will get some benefit paired with a lower FR rated sub as they will reinforce each other. Don't expect much more from the Yami. The Polk only states a 32Hz low end, but it doesn't state if that is 3dB down or if it just makes noise at that frequency. Personally, I would look for a good 12" sub with 300+ watts to replace the Yami. It would get you more output and lower extension than adding the 10" Polk.
