I have a LN40A530 sammy , that I calibrated on movie mode from settings found on this site..

Do I need to run film mode and edge enhancement on the TV for watching HD cable , and blu ray ? Or is that just extra processing I don't need ?

The Film Mode setting is only available when the source is interlaced (e.g. 1080i broadcast). It will be grayed out for progressive sources (e.g. Blu-ray).
