OK, here's a good one.

My ideal mounting location on the ceiling places my projector lens about a foot in front of an overhead sprinkler head. The projector's vents would blow sideways just an inch or two in front of the head.

I'm not sure what temp the heads go off at but low end could be 135F.


Anybody had to deal with this problem?

You can get higher rated sprinkler heads. They make all different temperature ratings. Moving the head would obviously be costly but another option.

Ps. they also make sprinkler heads with deflector shields so it doesn't spray in a given direction. This does reduce your sprinkler coverage in case of a fire and it might be against fire code if you live in an apartment/ condo.

Thanks Bob, higher heat rating sounds like the way to go. Also thought to make a little deflector shield to keep the warm air blast away from the head.
