Dear All,

I just bought a BELKIN FireWire 3-Port PCI Card to connect my Sony MiniDV Camcorder (Model DCR-TRV17), and to my surprise, even though Windows XP Pro recognizes this FireWire 3-Port PCI Card, there is a Yellow Exclamation Mark next to it and obviously it can't be properly function. (Error Code 10)

I tried to update its driver, via the original Windows XP Pro CD, but no luck.

I did further research and apprently it does not even need an updated driver and Windows XP Pro "supposedly" should take care of the installation of it. (according to this article:

I have tried many resources and I need your help please.

Your insights, comments and assistance would be greatly appreciated in advance.

I'm just shotgunning it here, but it is a network card, try going to network connections, it should be there, right click and try repair.

I don't think it applies to XP, but I once had week long problem with a Firewire device, which ended up being caused by software over-zealously protecting my network. It finally worked when I un-installed Zone Alarm.
