When you say video switching stopped working, do you mean HDMI inputs/outputs stopped working? That is the problem I have with mine. If I even select an input that is set to use HDMI, the menu becomes very sluggish. It will take a minute or more to switch from one menu item to the next, so switching something to use a different audio and/or video input is very tedious and frustrating. Therefore I have been reluctant to try to update the firmware again, since I would have to reset everything.

OK, the firmware update only ran on XP. I was able to go through the whole process with no errors, AFW v 0.98.3.1, DSP 1.2.9. only problem is the unit will not go into standby any more have to hard power down. Original problem, video switching stopped working.
