So I got the 50" Plasma ( LG 50PS60 50" 1080p Plasma ) on slickdeals for $850, I plan on hooking my PC to it and using it as my primary display. This is my first flat screen display and I'm a complete noob, but will i be able to connect my PC's sound card to the TV and use the TV speakers or will i need a dedicated sound system? thanks

The LG, like any TV out there will take the stereo line-out from a PC and play it just fine. You will likely need a cable that takes the RCA mini stereo output that most PC sound cards have and then feed it to the TV as RCA stereo. If you do eventually get a dedicated sound system, you can go the SPDIF out route instead and upgrade to surround sound.
