[Difolo]

Hi Guys,


I recently recieved a hand me down speaker system and require a bit of help. The system I recieved is unfinsihed as I only have the 5 speakers(2 rear, 2 front, 1 center) and the reciever. I believed I still require a subwoofer and maybe an amplifier?


Here are the specs on the equipment I have.

The speakers are Energy and seem very similiar to these.

The reciever is a Denon AVR-2105.

This is my first time building a 5.1 surround system and would really appreciate any help or suggestions on subwoofers to go with.

Thank you for the reply but could you be a little more specific? I looked around online for "Shiva Subwoofers" or "Shiva Subs" and found pretty much nothing except DIY kits, and I defiantly don't want to go that route as I don't know much about subwoofers.


Also I was unable to find any information on the other product you listed.

Since you are posting in the Do It Yourself Sub threads, maybe you want to go the Subwoofer section and ask there. Give some indication of your budget when starting your new thread. You could start to look at HSU subwoofers for reasonably priced, good sounding units.

I see, very sorry as I misinterpreted the DIY term. I thought DIY meant more of a build the system yourself by picking each component individually rather than buying a Home Theater in a box etc.
