Hi, i was wondering if anyone had encountered or knew a way around this problem and could help in anyway.

I have a HTCP system set up and everytime i change my tv's input, the pc's screen resolution changes back to its lowest. I want it on 1024 by 768, but everytime i switch from cable tv back to pc, the pc res setting automatically changes to it lowest (800 by 600), so i have to keep manually resetting it everytime.

I have the Pc linked through hdmi to a pioneer vsx 919ah, and then linked up into an LG 37LF2150 through hdmi cable too.

on the PC I am using an Intel G41 express chipset.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Get it working bypassing the receiver first.

Almost no 1024x768(4:3 aspect ratio) rectangular pixel plasma TV will accept 1024x768 over HDMI since they are designed to be TVs and not PC monitors. Most likely 720p([email protected]) will work best over HDMI. Your TV may accept 1024x768 from your PC over a VGA interface if it has one.
