I'm using the 10HT, projecting on a Gray wall. I wonder if I repaint the wall, mixing black with satin finish paint, instead of regular flat white, will bring out better results. What do you think?
If the reflected primary beam is on the line-of-sight to your viewing position don't use satin. If it reflects above (or on rare occasion, below) your viewing position, satin will add some gain and may help a little in some situations. I'm becoming convinced after viewing multiple samples of commercial gray screens that flat 75% gray is a good choice/compromise if you can maintain 14 ft-lamberts white level.
