I have a creative x fi platinum with IO drive which has digital coax out. However I would prefer to output out of my card directly if it will sound just as good. I have heard some say that this can be done and it will sound even better. So I just need a mono 3.5mm male to rca female plug? Can someone post a product link of this for me. And from plug I just attach any old RCA composite cable into the digital coax of my receiver?

I believe a stereo Minijack to RCA cable will work, too. Just use the LEFT (white) output and leave the red alone.

Creative sells a $15 accessory on their web site that will plug into the flexijack to enable optical AND coaxial, with both input AND output.

Thanks, but I don't need that creative cable since I already have an IO drive with these ports, I just want the plug. Couldn't find plug on radioshack.com or monoprice. Any recommendations where my plug can be found online? Ebay seemed expensive at $9 thanks.

stereo minijack to RCA cables are everywhere...the mono ones are hard to find.

Try a stereo one and only use the left (white or black) rca output.
