FlexSteel Recliners??

971 Views 8 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Dylan
All,

I'm in the need for chairs, I went to a BigScreenStore and found some theater seats made by Flexsteel Industries. They were very nice and felt/looked better the the Berklines.

Anyone have these, or give an opionion?

I considered these after tracking down one of the large showrooms in another area code, the quality and warranty seemed great but they would not budge on the price, the configuration they had estimated at over $4k and then I ended up with the berklines and couldn't be happier
I've been diligently looking for chairs. What's an average cost for a berkline 090 or 099?
I bought a Flexsteel rocker/ reclining loveseat and matching sofa with reclining ends. I bought them through a "furniture outlet" in NC called Furnitureland South for about 40% off retail. They have a website that can easily be found with any search engine. I have been happy with them during the 6 months I've used them. The peices are nice as you can remove each seat allowing them to fit into most rooms and hallways. The frame also has some holes near the bottom that I used to mount a pair of Aura Bass shakers on a short 2x4.

Most "theater seats" were way out of my price range. The store also had a selection of these.
bpassman,

Check with Jason @ AVS. Very competitive pricing & supporting our favorite forum as well.

Milesed,

Can you post the SKU number for the sofa. I had a discussion with my wife last night and she wants a sofa with recliners at each end.

I'll try to get that for you tonite. You will still need to choose the color and grade of leather or fabric if ordering from there.
The Flexsteel furniture is fantastic! Last week I took delivery on a 5 piece sectional for my HT (4 recliners and a wedge as pictured here .) This configuration worked better for us then theater seats. The set wasn't cheap but I feel we got what we paid for. Quality is superb. I've literally spent years looking for good motion sofas. I'd never found any that were as comfortable as dedicated chairs. The reclining mechanism inspires confidence. The seats are wide for my fat butt. :)

Obviously I can't speak for long term reliability but they certainly feel solid. Much more so then other motion furniture I've had.
