Season 2 of flight of the conchords started tonight and it is now in HD on HBO-HD.

I love this show.

i also noticed that it is showing on my time warner HD showcase on-demand channel but it is an edited version (I didn't watch but it is rated G or PG and not TV-MA like the HBO version). this is an on-demand channel that everyone gets not just HBO subscribers so i guess that's why they edit.

anyway, back to the show. hi-filarious.

It cannot (or should we say should not) be rated PG or G unless submitted to MPAA, which TV shows are not and why you get the TV-MA Rating. Sounds like a screw up in the on-demand listing.

i just went back and checked and the listing definitely says Rated PG. Also, I fast forwarded to the scene with Dave saying that some of the best songs are jingles and they definitely edited that scene ... cut out his little porn jingle completely. It's not really important, just found it interesting ... also noticed that the listing said "special sneak preview of the season premiere" so i guess they won't show the full season anyway.

in any case i'll be watching on HBO.

highlights of the first episode: the band t-shirt and dolls, murray getting his job back, and the man-made woven pants.

I loved that no one in the consulate even noticed Murray had been gone ( or cared )!

Also, Greg Proops line, " I particularly like one of you." Both guys say "thank you"!

Perfect Conchords take on it.

The angel song was one of their best they have had on the series so far....hopefully some people didn't miss it because it came at the end partially during the credits.

I can't believe they (HBO) continue with this nonsense.

Cmon, no threadcrapping. It may not be your cup of tea, but plenty of people are loving these kiwis...and they are not doing another season after this one anyway, despite the good ratings.

Yep - it airs in 16:9 SD on BBC Four in the UK and has a strong following here as well. (The guys performed in the UK quite a lot prior to their move to the US)

I'm not a regular viewer - but have always enjoyed it when I've watched it.

Try finding their video for the song "Business Time" on youtube. It will give you a good feel for the show.

and:

* The Humans are Dead (my favorite)

* Think about it (also hilarious)

* Albe the Racist Dragon

* ...something about being ladies' men....

The David Bowie episode is great, too! I prefer the live version of "Bowie's in Space" over the one on the show though.

That is true for most of the songs.

hi-filarious episode this week.

the songs were great and i was cracking up when jemaine was talking with his prostitution client (john? mary?): "no laughing, especially during"

and the whole coffee cup scenario was funny, too. "you've got to admit, it is more social having two cups"
