I know the Flip Mino HD is hardly a serious camcorder. But it has its value because of its size and ridiculous ease of use.
But I have to tell you that its software, called Flipshare, will not work on a PC with less than an Intel Pentium 4 3 Ghz or faster. This software crashes at startup on any of my AMD based PCs, the fastest is an XP3200+ which is very close to P4 3 Ghz. Flip product support basically says my computer doesn't meet the published requirements and that is the cause of the crash.
I think it ought to perhaps play back slowly or choppy - but it shouldn't crash.
Sony Vegas Studio can edit HD video on a P4 2.8 Ghz, just not fast.
I continue to try to get Flip to explain why their software crashes instead of simply functioning or even shutting down nicely.
