I have a Sony DA50ES receiver that will be getting upgraded to something newer and better later this year. I have the Polk Audio CS1 center channel speaker and some Sony Bookshelves for my Rears.

I forgot to mention I have a 10" KLH subwoofer that I am happy with.

I was thinking of getting the Athena F2's for my front towers. The price of the Athena's at Amazon are $200. I went to Best Buy but they only have the Athena F1's. Is there any other speaker comparable in that price range? Music comes first, then Movies.


I want Tower Speakers that will not add or take away anything from Music. My price range is $300 per speaker.

 Ascend Acoustics 340s or see if Rockets has any 550s in b-stock in your price range.

Have you heard the Rockets? Those are in my price range if they are worthy, but how do they compare to the Athena's or are they a different beast?

Both the Rockets and Ascends are very good and I personally would put them above the Athenas(which I've heard too). I own the Ascend 340s and have heard the Rocket 550s.
