I have been using the SX-HTB set up happily for the past year. Lately I have been pondering about adding a sub to the set up. Am wondering which sub you guys would recommend to go with the SX-HTB?

Also, has anyone upgraded the center speaker in SX-HTB to the AV-SC? Is that a worthwhile upgrade?

Newbie here, so please go gentle on me :D .

I added a Dayton 10" powered sub to my AV-HTB set. It seems like a pretty good match, but frankly I don't think it has made that huge a difference. I don't think that's because the Dayton isn't up to the task, but rather that the Fluance speakers sounded good to start with.

I added an AR sub to my Fluance system and it will give you more impact for movies and music, too. I also upgraded the capacitors in my Fluance speakers and it made a nice improvement to the sound, I was more pleased with the musical performance afterward. I used a Jensen paperinoil cap for the center channel and Solens for the tower and surround speakers. I also replaced the internal wiring to all drivers on the center and towers with better quality wire along with goldplated connectors and believe that helped also.

Jack: what receiver are you using to power the Fluance? Do you set up the receiver to send LFE signal to both the front and sub or just sub? just curious. . .

James: whoa, sounds complicated for a novice like me. You didn't get your upgrade process documented in pictures, did you? ;)

Thanks for the reponse guys.
