2011 documentary narrated by Sir David Attenborough is in the works for Blu-ray 3D this summer.

In an early announcement to retailers, National Geographic has slated 'Flying Monsters - 3D' for Blu-ray 3D on June 19.

For thousands of years, humans have believed that there were once flying monsters. But did they really exist beyond our nightmares? 220 million years ago dinosaurs were beginning their domination of Earth. But another group of reptiles was about to make an extraordinary leap: pterosaurs were taking control of the skies. The story of how and why these mysterious creatures took to the air is more fantastical than any fiction.

Specs and supplements haven't been revealed yet, but the suggested list price for the Blu-ray 3D/DVD combo pack is $39.97.

Has anybody seen this?

It was a Sky 3D TV documentary in England. The 3D is good but not worth $40.

Agree. It's a very good documentary, but wouldn't warrant repeated viewings.

It's on again for the umpteenth time, this afternoon.

Isn't there a US 3D channel showing it? Most of the Sky 3D docs seem to be co-productions with Animal Planet, Discovery etc.
