I was wondering about the PT-AE100, with it being a short throw projector, when set close to a screen, the distance from lens to center of the screen could be considerably shorter than the distance to a screen edge... I don't want to go into the math.


Is this something that a designer would take into consideration when it is in the design stage, or is it a concession that a buyer must take?


I hope this question hasn't been asked here before, it was just one of the random thoughts in my head that kept screaming "talk about me, talk about me".

Have you seen this thing in action? I think it is of some merit in consideration, however, it might not be as big of an issue as you seem to think it is.


Some people even defocus the unit a tad to obscure the screen door effect.
