Was looking over Tom's Hardware Guide Comuptex report and I saw this:

(oops..Tom's checks for referrer links to picture. You'll have to view his article to see the pic)

http://www.tomshardware.com/business...mputex-11.html

The caption is "The Linux-based Info-Netter - an Internet appliance that plays DVDs, CDs, VCDs, and functions as a Web browser and MP3 player, too. "

A little Google spleunking turned up a press release from Focus Enhancements (the people that make the new Center Stage Video processor) announcing this! The picture seems to show a VGA output on the bottom, and their press release touts AC3 sound. Sadly, it also says it takes digital video IN and downscales it?

Anyone know more about this? Maybe I can attract Focus' attention from the Video Processor forum...

Here's their press release:

The FS450 chip is un related to the CenterStage product. The FS450 is actually one of our digital down scaling processors. It was designed for interactive internet appliances or set top box products that need to support standard definition TV. The unique feature of the FS 450 is that by having a digital input the signal is much better than you would normally get from a scan converted image (PC to TV). In any case Focus has alot of patented technology and products that sell into many markets, home theater is just one market that we sell to with the CenterStage product. For more information about the FS 450 and our ASIC technology visit our ASIC page on our website at http://www.focusinfo.com/products/b_asics.htm
