Folks with a Ruby or Pearl with a DVDO VP50

For those with the Ruby ( and I imagine the Pearl might be similar) I'm sure you've noticed the good amount of edge enhancement in the image. Many, including myself, have essentially turned off the sharpness to rid of much of the EE. But that would result in a sometimes too soft picture.


So my point is, could you experiment w/ the sharpness control on the VP50? I put my Ruby's sharpness at about 15-20 and played with the sharpness on the VP50 and noticed that at 2-4 I got more of a pop to the image without any ringing. I am imagining things? I also don't notice any artifacts or other downsides to doing this.
