Complete X-com series pack for a low price of $4.99 at steam a wkend special...the old days of gaming...had to get for $4.99

I love this, but then I remember how impossibly hard that game was for the novice...and would probably still kick my butt today.


Hmmm..I'd better go look into this

Head, wonder where you were. Thought this might bring you out of your hinernation...



You can almost follow the development of graphics thru all the iterations of the X-com games. Good history lesson for some...and reliving their innocent years of gaming for others (like me). Micro Prose...many of the best air sims I played were by them.

Since I haven't played old school games on Steam, how do these work? Weren't the first couple of Xcom games DOS based? Do they run in a ridiculously low resolution or does Steam do some sort of emulation or upscaling or anything?

lo rez, but they do run fine on my systems using XP.
