I just got my Replay 3060 last night from Mercata. I would like to force a download for the 3.0 software.


For some reason I got a message today that the phone dropped trying to connect to the network. Do I have to wait all day for 3.0 or can it manually force it to try again.

While you CAN force a connection you canNOT guarantee you'll get 3.0 on THIS call.


To force a call press 2-4-3 then "ReplayZones". Then select the obvious choice.


4-1-1 then "ReplayZones" shows you what software you currently have.

It got hung up at 11% when downloading the new software. It sat at 11% for over an hour. I finally pressed stop. I reconnected and now it says checking for new software and does nothing but drop the line and say the modem hung up the connection, try again.


It had no problem downloading all of the zones. It took some time, but it got them.


I have tried several times, it just won't do anything but drop the line now. I checked the phone line and it's fine.

As for the more recent issue, try rebooting your box (power it off and unplug it for about a minute.)

I have exactly the same problem. I have at least 15 "the modem hung up" messages. It doesn't matter which phone number I use. Wireless or direct or forced net connect or overnight. I get the program listing but no software and I have the message "Modem hung up" I have a showstopper. Replay Mike was going to get back to me when he had some information. I guess he doesn't have any information yet. Al

I tried today and got 100% of the download, then it went to 50% finalizing and it changed to an orange screen and rebooted. It then came up to the replay logo and a few seconds later booted again. No 3.0 software, it's still at 2.1. No messages left in the mailbox either.


I tried again, and the exact same thing. I just don't get it. Do you possibly have to register the serial number with them before the 3.0 will install? I just did the web registration tonight. I'll keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow!!!
