I realize I'm a few days late to the party, but these are the first set of drivers since 180.52 that actually work on my HDTV (well, somewhat anyways). It's a pain in the ass- I can't exactly run it at 1920x1080, but what I have to do is turn it on, set it as primary, then resize the desktop. After I resize the desktop which it automatically adds as a "custom resolution", which on my 56" 1080p DLP is:

1080p,1808x1012

The desktop is fine, but now if I want to play a game I have to set everything at 1808x1012. I better pray all games from now on support custom resolutions or I'm screwed.

Is this good? Does this mean I now have true 1:1 video? I'm not sure why nvidia changed this system around, where it was so easy before. You just resized the desktop and everything was automatically compensated to run at 1920x1080p.

Is this the old problem where the driver updates wouldn't let non-flat panels use the aspect management feature? I've had that problem with my CRT HDTV, and if this new update is the fix then I need it. Right now I can't play any 4X3 older games without stretching.

With most RPTV, they over scan as a norm. There maybe a setting in the TV set up to compensate. My Sony has the same probm's and there are a very minor OS correction in the TV menu but not enuf. I just use Nvidia's HDTV adjustment, mine come out to something 19xx by xx06. Still offset to the left. But its a workable desktop with a slight cut off to the left. Never notice it when playing back movies. I don 't use the 60" screen TV for gaming tho. Rem most of the older RPTV were not meant for computer digital connections even tho they had DVI/HDMI but rec VGA for the computer. Console games you will not really notice the diffs since they have way more space to OS then a computer image does. The consoles are built that way so they will fit on most TV's.

Give it a shot- in this driver set they changed the way the setup works. It never worked for me before, it just kept going to some weird resolution and never stuck. They're getting closer to getting it right.

Unfortunately my RPTV has absolutely no overscan adjustment whatsoever, so that tells you how much adjusting I have to do. It seems every time I switch back and forth between displays I have to reset the RPTV to that weird resolution. At least it's in the registry now so I don't have to keep reentering it. So they're getting there.

Supposedly this driver now officially supports DX11 under Win7, and offers an update to OGL and CUDA versions.

This driver and every version starting after 184.80 starts to break my Snapstream Beyond-TV remote link playback.
