I contacted Cox Cable the other day about HDTV on cable. They plan to have the DTV stations on cable by the first half of 2004 in our area.

We get KHBS-DT very well in Greenwood with a Radio Shack Double Bowtie sitting on top of the TV. Monday Night Football looks very good.

We can't get CBS in Greenwood with an indoor antenna.

Bob,

I live in Fort Smith and have been trying to hook up an OTA HDTV antenna to my DTV unit. I installed a terk 55 antenna last night and was only able to receive channel 5 (whatever that is) digital OTA. Do I have a weak signal or is something wrong?

I contacted Cox last month and they said they had no plans on adding HDTV to their service. I guess you talked to someone that cared. How many HDTV channels did they say they would be adding?

phansson,

Terk antennas are junk. They are sold based on their appearance (WAF), not performance.

Get a real metal UHF antenna, like a ChannelMaster CM 4221 or CM 4228. A 4221 is around 30 bucks, shipped from warrenelectronics.com or solid signal.
