I just installed the Fortissimo and tried to load PowerDVD 4. It keeps giving me an invalid key when I type in the key given on the paper that came in the box. Tries using caps/no-caps etc... Has anyone else had this problem ??? Would appreciate anyone who has a key that works sending it as niether Hercules or Cyberlink support have been any help.

Try using the serial number that is on the paper that came with it. It worked for me.

You beat me to posting this!


I just had this same problem 2 days ago. I have sent an e-mail

to Hercules Tech Support and also to Cyberlink.


I have not received an answer for this. It could help if you also

submitted a problem report to both places.


If you find a solution to this problem, PLEASE post it here.

I will do the same.

The one problem I think I had, was confusing zeros with "ohs". Have you checked this?

There is only one (0 or o ) in the supplied key and I have tried it both ways. Were there any dashes in your key ??? The key that was given with the Fortissimo had a 16 digit string with no dashes etc....

Just saw your post. I reviewed the key's to the PowerDVD that came with my Fortissimo Card (early version) and the one for XP 4.0 and they both have 16 #'s. Don't know if that is any help or if I can be of any more help - sorry -


I noticed that the first 2 numbers and the 5th in the key are letters for both of them if that helps also.
