So as I type this I hope I am not an idiot. I have downloaded the Forza 2 demo 3 times today and I can't play it. It launches fine, does the INTRO and gets to the screen "Press A to Start" which takes me to "Class Select" and then nothing. The game does not respond to any input from any of my Xbox 360 controllers or my Xbox 360 remote. I can't scroll or even exit out.


When I press the XBOX button it takes me to the dashboard fine and I can verify that all the buttons on all my devices work fine. The only time I can get anything to happen is if I press the XBOX button to open the dashboard side window then quickly press B and it will scroll from C to R2. Likewise if I do this again when on R2 it will scroll to C.


I have rebooted, restarted, disconnected HD-DVD, everything...what the heck is the deal?

Take a look at the light on your controller....are you logged in as Controller 1??


I had my Guitar Hero controller connected and while I could do everything, including launch the game, with the controller set as Controller 2 (the guitar was set as controller 1), as soon as i tgot to the menu screen Controller 2 was useless.

The light on the controller is upper left saying it is controller 1. However my xbox is in a rack and i have a USB extension with the guitar hero guitar coming out the back. That was the problem, guitar was laying behind some stuff and it never even came to me. Thanks.

too bad you cant steer with the tilt sensor in the guitar
