Found some old marantz speakers...any insight?

I found some speakers my mom has that she doesn't use. It's model is a marantz lsp1412. I know it's a shot in the dark but does anyone have any experience with these? They look like this http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/ele/1242512544.html . The receiver in her house is broken so I couldn't try it out, just wanted to know if its worth lugging that back to my apt. Thanks

Everything in that listing is from the dark days of Marantz... 40 bucks makes it an ok garage system.
