Is there a FOX station in CT that is broadcasting HD? Can it be received on LI?

Nothing in CT yet for FOX. www.titantv.com states that WTIC-DT is going live on February 1, 2002, but I'll believe it when I see it. There are permanent antenna issues for most of the Hartford area stations. If they do make it for Feb. 1, I would guess that it would be at limited power and not viewable to anyone outside the greater Hartford area.

When you have a local FOX digital station, it won't be broadcasting HD programs, because the best FOX is doing is 16:9 (widescreen) 480P, not HD.

AVS ought to have filtering software the prohibits use of the two words in the same sentence, unless you're writing "Fox ignores HD"

I received an email from WTIC yesterday. I was told that they haven't cleared up the frequency issue yet. Currently they are assigned to channel 5 for DTV. Channel 5 is also the analog FOX station in NYC. Until that is cleared up, they will not be moving forward with DTV.
