Theoretically, all of the movie HD channels are tied to the D* SD counterpart movie channels, so we expected this. Good to have it confirmed!

Just thought I would let everyone who may not know...


D** has a free EVERYTHING weekend going on right now.


I am watching SHO-HD now and HBO-HD is available too, in addition to HBO, SHO, Cinemax, etc. All free, all weekend. Must have Total Choice to qualify I think.


I love this about D**. They have these free movie weekends fairly regularly. It's great for catching all those movies that aren't worth $4...


Time to fire up TIVO (or HD-TIVO for the lucky ones)!! Enjoy.

I know, Showtime HD isn't showing much of interest and for that matter neither is HBO HD. Brewster's Millions is on HDNet Movies however!

But why don't they tell us about this? They're running commercials during the ALCS, you'd think they might mention it there in one form or another. I just happened to notice it by accident when I had a typo entering a channel on the remote. I admit I throw the stuff away they send me in the mail without looking at it too closely. Was it mentioned there?

It was on D*'s website

It was in all my receiver's inbox (I'm pretty sure your receiver's inbox as well)

Okay, let us really beat this thread. I have a DTC-100. There is no visual indicator that I am aware of that tells me I have 'new mail'. Thus, I am forced to poll, which takes at least 15 remote pushes to do. As a member of the computer engineering world, I much prefer interrupt driven, and refuse to poll. So, I missed my email. I also pay my bill automatically via a credit card, so when the paper bill comes in the mail, I just glance at it to make sure they aren't charging me for something they shouldn't, and toss it. As for the website, well, yes, I still view that occasionally in source mode. There is no way they will ever make such a mistake again.

When in D* mode (as opposed to local mode), hit the info button, there is an envelope icon that lights up when new mail is in.

Actually, I've enjoyed a number of the Free View events. most recently, with Stevie Ray Vaughn.
