I am thinking about having a powered Curtain system covering my screen. If I do that, I would want to place all my speakers in a fabric covered frame below the bottom of the screen height. How different is it acoustically to place the Left, Right, & Center speakers below the screen and aim up towards the listening position versus placing the Left & Right speakers at ear level and having the Center speaker below the screen and facing towards the listening position?

Thanks,

Matt

It is a general rule that speaker placement should be put at ear level or even better, slightly above. If in your case you are placing them bellow ear level this way, I would not recommend it. Why do you want the curtain to go all the way across the front wall?

Thanks for your replies. I'm unable to sacrifice the depth to place the speakers behind the screen. I really wish I could do that. I only want the curtains to cover the screen then open and go behind a narrow false wall or column on the sides. They do not need to cover the entire front wall.
