If you would like to try and negotiate a price, please don't use the thread. Send a private message. If you have general questions about the product you can use the thread.

That being said, the $4999 price I believe is very fair. The cheapest price I can find anywhere for a brand new, A-stock with JVC warranty. Thanks for your interest but I'll pass on your offer.

I am interested in this projector. I have a older JVC projector that I want to upgrade. I do have one concern however. As I understand it, the warranty is not transferrable. How can I be assured that I will get the full factory warranty?

The projector was purchased from an authorized dealer. I never opened or registered the projector with JVC. With the receipt you can register the projector under your name and the printed receipt would provide proof of purchase from an authorized dealer.

Just an FYI, I do have a potential sale pending with another buyer.

Deewan, I called JVC Customer Care and they said the receipt had to be in my name if any warranty service has to be performed. Is there a way around this? I'm assuming that the receipt you have is in your name.

Big box stores that are authorized by JVC do not put names on receipts (aka Best Buy Magnolia stores). So I'm not sure what work around would need to be taken.

If JVC requires a name on a receipt then I hope nobody ever buys a projector for someone as a gift. Granted this example is a different brand, but last Christmas I purchased a Sony 55" TV for my brother after he kept mentioning how much he loved my 75". I made the purchase but gave him the store receipt. He registered the product online. I assume he will have no issues if he ever has a warranty claim. If JVC has a process different than that, then I guess this product will be listed as "New, from authorized dealer but no warranty."
