Hi

I currently own a LG 32LX2R, using it for SD sky,my 360 and PS3. I'm looking to get a newer bigger TV.

I had convinced myself to go for a 40-42" FullHD LCD

But after looking at the Samsung PS50A457P1D, PQ looked superb and its huge! i'm now in two minds...

Do i go for a 40-42 LCD FullHD or a larger HD ready Plasma?

I really want to keep it under £800, so getting a FullHD plasma seems unlikely.

Is the FullHD noticeable enough to warrant going for a smaller TV?

Please Help

i genereally don't post opinions about choices as is almost always a matter of personal taste. however, i see no one has responded yet so i'll offer my opinion-

first, looks like you are in UK and i am assuming, like in US, the broadcasts are in 720p/1080i (not full HD) and there is no plan to full HD for many years (10?).

so, the question is how much time you spend gaming or playing other full hd sources.

many people, myself included, tend to think that 720p/1080i pq is great.

so....

i'll will lean to larger size panel than the smaller fullhd.

that is the way i went in january.

cheers!
