Funny Doom3 Player Experiences on Video

this was the funniest thing i saw today.

two french kids, filmed themselves and their reactions playing doom3 on the computer. allthough their reactions are a bit over the top, i think they're genuine.

especially the kid with the glasses holding the pillow. watch his body language when it's his turn to play the game, he looked genuinely scared. his moves of pushing himself away from the keyboard during gameplay i can relate to!

all i can say after watching this video is, good thing they played during daylight.

good for a laugh... clean video (though the kids are french, i couldn't make out any french cursing)

can't wait to play this via xbox on my pio1014 7.1 surround and 42inch plasma with the lights out!

When this video first came out, Alot of people thought that the kids were mentally handicapped. Hence, video taping their reactions. I still dont know if its true or not, but I just dont see the humor when thats in the back of my mind.

sorry rage, they didn't strike me as having a disability (is that your take?)and i mean no disrespect. i wasn't aware this video had a history.

i don't understand that, they seem to know the camera is on but, if you're saying, someone was filming them as sort of a science experiment, then, yeah, i agree with you, it's no longer funny to me now.

doing some digging around, i dunno.... i'm not finding anything that would substantiate that those kids have a mental disorder. here's one forum that discussed....

from what i'm gathering, a small minority are assuming they must have a disorder to be acting like that but, if you take into account their age and the scare factor of the game, perhaps they're just very inmature and shouldn't be playing it?

was there anyplace that confirmed why or who setup the camera on the boys?

I think the video was just supposed to be a joke [ and not in a handicapped sense either , which is certainly NOT funny ! ] .

I thought it was very funny.

It was simply their reaction to what is suppose to be a very scary shooter.

They are "definitely" not mentally challenged.

That is sad and stupid that rumor ever started.

i don't think it was funny at all. first off, what the hell is that kid playing when his hands are never really on the keyboard or mouse? at least half the time he's playing, he's stopping to scream. i mean, there were some parts i almost jumped out of my seat for a moment, but to scream for 20 seconds? also in the beginning you see the other kid glance at the camera, a clear tip off its fake.

That sounds like a "handicapped" scream to me. I personally think the video is "handicapped" too.

What a waste of time.

Funny, the first thing I thought when reading this was something is "wrong" with them. The I read the follow-up posts, and I don't know if they are handicapped or not.
