I have been watching the threads on the Fusion and I am very interested, but my question is to whether or not a "background" record function is in the software, or does the whole Fusion software actually have to be running. My interest would be so that I could record in the background with the fusion, while watching something else on another tuner card. Ahy help would be appreciated.

I've been doing that with the FusionHDTV II card while watching on the MyHD MDP-100 card.


They don't call it background recording, but you can minimize the Fusion application and overlay.

Is it possible to playback an already recorded (or currently recording) program while the Fusion is recording a program. i.e can one use it like a PVR.


Since the playback is done by software, i would assume so but i haven't seen documentation to that effect.

I would love for that to be the case, but from what i understand and the reply about having to minimize it to watch another tuner, it doesn't sound like that is possible at this point. However, i would think that theoretically it could be added as a feature to the software at a later time.
