I have a new JVC G15 purchased from AVScience with a very strange problem. If the projector is mounted in the inverted position, the lamp fails to light. If I remove it from the ceiling, and sit it on a table (in the non inverted position) it works perfectly.


I spoke with Jason, and he thought he remembered hearing of this problem once before, but could not remember the details and suggested I post here before returning the projector to him. Has anyone else seen this and know what the problem/fix is??

I have adjusted the screw for the inverted position. My understanding of the adjustment is that it aligns the optics with the new position of the lamp arc in the inverted position, preventing shading issues.

You might remove and reinstall the replaceable lamp assembly. Sounds like something is loose. There is always the 'kick it" solution which probably work, but I am saving that one.

Does it have to do with the screw that's supposed to be adjusted prior to inverted mounting? Just a guess....
