Hi

Can anyone tell me what these numbers mean to my projector.

GAIN-

R 200

G 216

B MAX

Do theses seem High or doesnt it matter?

A Service Guy adjusted theses figures when he was setting up my grayscale.

A friend has a G70 with an extra 3000 hrs on it compared to mine and his gain settings are much lower.

What does the Bias Numbers mean?

R 59

G 88

B 20

What do all these numbers tell me about my G70's lifespan.

Thanks

The Bias numbers look fiine, but those gain numbers are high. What kind of condition are your tubes in? What is your contrast setting?

I'm driving an 84" screen with nearly mint tubes and the picture is plenty bright and punchy. Here's my numbers below:

Hi

Thanks for the Quick reply.

My tubes are R 10/10 B 10/10 G 8/10

Counter reads 2500 hours.

Brighness 30

Contrast 70

My G70 is set @1080P and I use the HD Fury & Box 1020 which has a fantastic Gamma adjusment on it to boost the dark areas which would have been on when he did the Grayscale, Do you think that made a difference?

Thanks

The MAX setting for the Blue gain is normal for D65. If you look in the service manual you'll see that. It appears that your G70 is running the old firmware. What is the firmware version?

Those GAIN numbers are comparable to mine. My contrast runs between 65-80 depending on the source.

BIAS, simple answer it's the brightness control for each individual tube.
